SEDEN /

Seden has almost 30 years of experience in shipping.

She has started work as an operation & post fixture team member. After gaining experience, she became a well-known ship broker and co-founded Akis Shipping in 2000 where she mainly focused on commercial management. She is very well experienced with steel cargoes having worked with many local and worldwide companies.

Seden believes in the power of solidarity and is always trying to give back to the shipping community. So she is big supporter and the board member of both WISTA Turkey ( Women’s International Shipping and Trading Association) and Turkish Ship Brokers Association for more than a decade.

IREN /

Iren has more than 15 years of experience in shipping. After studying shipping in UK, she has started to work as a marine insurance broker and claim handler where she gained experience about marine insurance and claim handling process. She has accomplished research, done marketing for the business and maintaining the existent client portfolio. Being a detailed oriented person; marine insurance was always a good idea for her😊

After 10 years, she has decided to change her career path and started work as a yacht / project cargo transport operator where she was responsible from a to z of a yacht transportation including but not limited to custom clearance, crewing and insurance.

Having a small break from business but not from the shipping friends, she has finally joined AKiS team where she brings relevant experience, interests, and great enthusiasm.

At least but not last, Iren was always a part of WISTA ( Women’s International Shipping and Trading Association) and served as a board member for the last 11 years ( Meeting coordinator, Vice President and General Secretary respectively)

AYŞE /

Ayse has graduated from faculty of political sciences, Istanbul University. After graduating she has started to work in banking sector. Having worked in different banks as a corporate marketing and communications expert for 20 years, she has then retired as corporate marketing and communications manager.

Her business was always involved “money” 😊 so she could not get far from it for too long and she has joined Akis Team where she is responsible for all finance and accountancy.
